Hundreds of volunteers 'man up' for dads' breakfast at south Dallas school
Male role models. Male mentors. Father figures. Men setting good examples for young people — how to treat women, how to be kind to others, and so on.
This story absolutely warms my heart.
In short, Billy Earl Dade Middle School in South Dallas needed male volunteers for its “Breakfast with Dads” event on December 14, 2017.
They posted their need for more "dads" on Facebook. What happened next was nothing short of incredible.
“When a young person sees someone other than their teacher take interest in them, it inspires them. That’s what we want to see happen. These kids need all the support they can get to be successful.” — Event organizer, the Rev. Donald Parish Jr. of True Lee Missionary Baptist Church
